Dear Darren Allen,
I am 22 years old, and first encountered your work last year, when I started seriously studying philosophy, religions, and human consciousness. I read The Fire Sermon, and was both fascinated and entertained by it. I went on to your other books, and became interested in your thoughts on almost anything, because your perspective was so different from anyone else’s I had ever read. I enjoy it when a work (book, film, podcast, etc.) gives me a little bit more wisdom and helps me make sense of the world, and your works have given me deeper insights into understanding myself and others.
Thanks for all that you do, and keep it up. I wish you all the best!
I got on the bus for free today because the driver "didn't know how to do returns". It was the same driver when I returned, and so I asked for a return again in order to pay for my earlier ride. She didn't recognise me, nor had she worked out how to do returns, so I returned for free too. She seemed delighted to be driving a bus.
